How We Rate AI Healthcare Tools
Every tool on Algorithmic Pulse is scored using our own independent methodology — not a rating pulled from another review site. Here's exactly how it works.
We evaluate each tool across five criteria, weighted by how much they actually matter to a healthcare practice:
Compliance Transparency (25%)
Does the vendor clearly state whether they'll sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA)? Do they carry SOC 2 or HITRUST certification? We check the vendor's own trust and security documentation, not just marketing claims.
EHR Integration Depth (25%)
How many major EHR systems does the tool confirm integration with — Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, and others? We verify this against the vendor's own integrations page, not general claims.
Pricing Transparency (20%)
Is pricing published clearly, or does it require a sales call to find out? We score tools higher when a real practice can understand the likely cost without a demo.
Verified Review Sentiment (20%)
We read actual user reviews on independent platforms like G2, Capterra, and TrustRadius — not just the star average — to identify recurring themes, both positive and negative.
Company Stability (10%)
Is the company actively developing the product, funded, and growing? We check public funding history and team activity as a signal of long-term reliability.
Each tool is scored 1-5 on every criterion, and the weighted average becomes its published rating. We update scores periodically as pricing, integrations, or compliance details change — if you spot something outdated, let us know.
This methodology reflects our own research and judgment. It's meant to help you evaluate a tool faster — not to replace your own due diligence, and it does not constitute compliance, legal, or medical advice. Always confirm compliance and pricing details directly with a vendor before adopting any tool in your practice.
